According to the state of Pennsylvania’s grant outlines, one of the most crucial components of Classrooms for the Future’s professional development program is funding for an onsite, Classrooms for the Future Coach. The purpose of this “coach” is to guide technical needs assessments and strategic recommendations, identify appropriate instructional and administrative technologies, and deliver local hands-on relevant professional development in each high school—so that’s what I am here to do…
Although I never coached Track, I have been told by one of my fellow coaches that her runners always insisted that she run with them. As CFF Tech Coach, I will most assuredly run with all of you. We will run side by side, learning new things and grueling it out block by block. And if I am to be an effective coach, then I hope that by the end of this ‘season’, we at Western Wayne will be the ones setting the pace, running out in front of the pack.
Teams often go through a range of emotions during a season. So too will we as a High School go through a range of emotions as this initiative evolves. If you feel any of the following emotions: Fear, anxiousness, worry, anger, or even uncertainty, remember I feel them too, but I am always available….Now let’s go running!!!
